Matrix calculator that shows its work.

Determinants, inverses, products and more — up to 10×10, with every step written out so you can follow the method, not just copy the answer.

Matrix Calc. showing a result with its step-by-step solution

Everything you need, nothing you don't.

Step-by-step solutions

Each result comes with the working laid out in order — the formula used, the values substituted, and the answer.

The operations that matter

Determinant, inverse, transpose, rank, trace, adjugate, cofactor and eigenvalues, plus reduced row echelon form, the pseudoinverse, the null space and solving a linear system — alongside addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and the Hadamard product.

Matrices up to 10×10

Enter rows and columns directly, and edit any cell. Free-form expressions like A + 2B or det(A) are understood.

Works offline

Calculations run on your device. No connection, no waiting — the same engine on Android and in the browser.

Six languages

English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Swahili — including the solution steps, not just the menus.

History, with optional sync

Every calculation is saved on the device. Sign in on Android and your history follows you to your other phones.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Every operation and the step-by-step solutions are free, supported by ads. There is no paywall and no account required to calculate.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The maths runs entirely on your device. An internet connection is only used if you turn on history sync.

How large can a matrix be?

Up to 10 rows by 10 columns. Rectangular matrices are fine where the operation allows them.

Which operations are supported?

Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and powers; the Hadamard (element-wise) product; determinant, inverse, adjugate, cofactor, transpose, trace, rank and eigenvalues; reduced row echelon form, the pseudoinverse and the null space; and a solver for systems of linear equations.

Do I need an account?

No. Signing in is optional and only exists to sync your history across devices.
